Introduction

My father, who my brother and I affectionately refer to as Sir Vladimir Pear, or Pear for short, is prone to harmless rants from time to time. I have decided to capture them on this blog. This is not an original idea, but regardless I think it's worth giving it a shot. I'm curious whether his raves will be as funny in this format, to people who might be unfortunate enough not to experience the Pear on a regular basis, as they are to me when hearing them in person or over the phone.
